The Rosemary Branch

An award-winning pub and theatre that once upon a time was a Victorian Music Hall. Our brilliantly unpretentious pub prides itself on its welcoming demeanour, cracking menu, selection of locally sourced beers and, of course, our upstairs theatre which is run by interactive performance company Unattended Items. With a weekly pub quiz, live music at weekends and a resident pianist that accompanies our traditional Sunday lunch menu, you’ll not be short of entertainment. Just be wary of asking for song requests, which just gets people into treble. Sorry, our jokes always fall flat. We’ll stop now.

The Food

We have a contemporary seasonal menu designed by our talented Chef which changes weekly to ensure we’re using the freshest produce. Our beer battered fish and chips and lovingly homemade burgers are our popular staple dishes, alongside our traditional Sunday roasts which are cooked from scratch – not an Aunt Bessie’s in sight. ‘Tis the season to be jolly well stuffed, so why not try our Christmas menu? It’s full to the brim with roasted meats, goose fat potatoes and Christmas pudding, complimented with starters such as a sea bass ceviche with clementine and chilli salad, alongside a quinoa and toasted almond stuffed peppers.

The Drinks

Over a dozen carefully selected wines have been elected to complement our modern menu, that’s more than 12 bottles of pure joy for you to choose from. Add to this a range of considerately chosen local ales and a rotating choice of craft beer and you have a drink offering not to be sniffed at. We also stock an enviable range of spirits, which we can prepare any number of ways, because sometimes all you really want is an expertly mixed G&T.
