The Barley Mow

Deep in the heart of Shoreditch lies The Barley Mow, an atmospheric and traditional pub with a heart of gold. Not actual gold, or we’d be in the Bahamas living it up. Whether you’re after a lively Friday night out, a laidback drink or perhaps you just fancy your chances against our resident team of Eggheads at our weekly pub quiz, we’ve got it sorted.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 12:00pm – 11:30pm

Saturday: 2:00pm – 11:30pm

Sunday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

The Food

Our pop-up kitchen has hosted a variety of street food heroes and our current culinary residents are Bokit’la, purveyors of excellent French Caribbean food. If you haven’t yet got your face round one of their creole sauce laden, avocado topped, salt-fish bokits then you haven’t lived. Vegetarian and vegan customers are catered for and we think you’ll find their food to be the perfect accompaniment to a cold beer, London gin and tonic or a bold red wine.

The Drinks

We don’t mean to brag but we recently received full marks across the board from Cask Marque, the governing body of cask conditioned ale. So, we can safely say that we know a thing or two about great beer. Our Aussie friends will likely be impressed that we also serve Little Creatures on tap, so put that tinny down mate and head to The Barley Mow for some decent amber fluid. That’s not all, we also serve a brilliant range of wines and we have a real soft spot for gin, so make sure to check out our London House Gins selection.
